In the past year, WSAC provided services to over 2,800 people. Thanks to donors like you, we answered nearly 1,500 crisis and information calls, facilitated 200 cases through the criminal justice system, accompanied 112 survivors of sexual assault to the hospital, and provided counselling to 700 people who had been affected by sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse.

You can help us continue to provide support, information and advocacy for survivors by giving a donation today.

Monthly Giving
Many of our donors wish to give generously and on an ongoing basis with minimal cost to WSAC. The Monthly Giving option allows donors to have their donation automatically deducted each month from their credit card or bank account. By selecting this option on the donation form below, you can easily set up your monthly giving preferences. A tax receipt is issued at the end of the year and your consistent support allows WSAC to budget and plan for future programs and services.

Planned Giving
Thank you for your interest in leaving a legacy to the Women's Sexual Assault Centre through planned giving.

What is planned giving?
Planned giving is a way for you to support WSAC by making a commitment to provide funds in the future. Some of the more common types of planned giving include: bequests in your will, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of life insurance, stocks, bonds or real estate. The most common form, making a charitable gift through a bequest in your will, can be done by setting aside a certain dollar amount or leaving a percentage of your estate and/or assets.

Everyone has the ability to leave a gift from their estate. "Estate" is simply a word used to describe everything that you own at the time of your death. Most people leave an estate when they die, even though they may not have a great deal of wealth. A charitable bequest will not take effect unless you state your intention in your will.

If you are considering making a planned gift to WSAC, we would be pleased to meet with you and to recommend next steps. We also encourage you to consult with a professional advisor who can tell you about the tax benefits of planned gifts and who will help you put them in place.

Endowment Fund
We are proud to have an endowment fund that is hosted by the Victoria Foundation. This fund allows donors to contribute financially to the future sustainability of WSAC. Capital is held and invested in perpetuity and the expectation is to grow the monetary value over time so that eventually WSAC will be able to use the investment income to fund core expenses.

If you would like to make a donation to this fund, please designate "Endowment Fund" when remitting your payment.

Donating to the endowment fund is an investment and commitment to the future of the Women?s Sexual Assault Centre.
