"The Women's Sexual Assault Centre is host to various events throughout the year.  Each event requires enthusiastic individuals to make these events successful."

Here are some of the events coming up:

Walk-A-Mile-In-Her-Shoes: Saturday, May 12, 2012, 2:00-4:00pm 

Walk-A-Mile-In-Her-Shoes is an event that asks men to literally walk one mile in women's footwear to help prevent sexualized violence by raising funds and awareness for the Women's Sexual Assault Centre. An event designed to build community awareness about sexualized violence in a fun and positive way.

Opportunities to volunteer:

• Assist in the organization of this event
• Provide much needed help on the day of the event.

Triathlon of Compassion: Saturday, June 30, 2012

The Triathlon of Compassion is an annual fundraising initiative for the Women?s Sexual Assault. The event takes place every year in the month of July. The race consists of a 500m swim, a 19k bike ride, and a 5k run. It is a fun and energetic day event, where all pledges raised benefit the Women?s Sexual Assault Center.

Opportunities to volunteer:

• assist Frontrunners and Runners of Compassion with organizing this yearly fundraising and community-awareness event.
• assist on the day of the race: marshalling, cheering on athletes, etc?
• You can also participate in the race as an individual athlete or as a team!
